Censorship? Not impressed...

    Started a thread in the coop validation/setup forum yesterday for a problem with my host and security settings etc,

    didnt get any help there so thought I would try in the main coop forum where it seems a lot more people hang out.

    This new thread got deleted

    I thought this forum was meant to be the opposite to WMW? obviously not...

    I am not impressed :(

    OK so that was a non starter :(

    So I am still trying to keep calm...

    What should I do to see if anyone else can help me with this

    My guess is no one knows the answer to your question. Your best bet would be to ask someone that does (for example the hosting company).

    BTW, deleting duplicate threads is not exactly "censorship". If you check the FAQ, it says specifically to not post duplicate threads, and don't bump existing threads. If it was allowed, everyone would be bumping their own threads over and over.

    Some rules are in place for a reason - you'll find few sucessful and organized forums that allow bumping, spamming, duplicate threads, flaming, etc.

    Shawn has never censored any threads here, if he did 90% of mine would have been removed.

    But he does get pissed off once in a while as we all do and will take action when rules are broken.

    Many times he has left threads and posts up when folks have insulted him personally and I have seen things posted against Digital Point that were bad for Digital Point and wondered why he DID NOT remove them.

    So no one can say that crap about censorship and make it stick.

    Sorry guy, but I have seen it first hand and there had to be a reason that your thread was removed.

    If Shawn let Lawsuit's (Infinite Wisdom's) "Class Action Lawsuit against Google" threads stand (even after he was banned), then no one can say that he censors or removes threads.

    That is a bunch of crap (bullshit) man.
