Celebrity/Football (soccer) related sites; do the google ad's pay poorly?

Hi there,

I've got a football/celebrity picture type website and have finally managed to get some traffic and good amount of clicks...however they are paying around 6 cents per click, or something stupid like this.

Is this the typical amount for a celebrity/soccer type website? I'm just curious, thats all

It's quite normal for any Celebrity related website.

 

Yes, It is frustrating. Many soccer sites despite their traffic get nothing but cents

yes 6 cents a click on a celb site is good...

i have a few and they pay like 3 cents a click but they are high traffic so I dont mind.

 

There is a guy here that makes a bundle from a popular soccer site. it can be done.

 

Do you know his username or website, so I can have a look?

I think no one makes good amount of money from a soccer site unless he gets 100 click a day

 

I'd agree with you Phil, soccer sites don't appear to pay that well, now and again my sites make a few $ of a couple of clicks, but generally the income is low.

On the other hand, soccer sites are releativley easy to build up a PR, so there is hope!

celebrity site has good amount of traffic. you can use cpm networks
