    Hey I run a magazine and we have connections to many large artists. I am setting up a blog now for artists and other people in the gaming industry etc to blog on via our website. I have set it up and I was wondering if you think the advertisements are in the right places and what I could improve and just some general marketing tips for blogs def ones that may have someone famous bloggin on it.

    With blogs, I wouldn't bother putting ads up until you have a constant flow of traffic or subsrciber base because you will never build a sustainable one if you continue to shove ads in their faces from the outset. Especially with Adsense, they'll click once, be gone, n not come back.

    Well, it all depends on where he puts the adsense ads. Make sure you put the adsense ads away from the main content.
    For example, you can put the ads on the header, footer or on the side. It should not annoy your visitors too much. You might get a fool or two to click on the ads.

    Well we get substantial amounts from our main site which it will be linked from plus being linked from the artists/celebs/industry pros websites so that is not the problem just looking for ways to increase getting people through various ways as I already have the stumble and digg buttons but looking for more info on what works

    Once you have your traffic you will need to test your ad zones, ad colors, ad formats, and ad styles. If you don't get the results you want then I would suggest trying different zones, colors, formats, and styles.
