Hello A content delivery network or content distribution network (CDN) is a system of computers networked together across the Internet that cooperate transparently to deliver content to end users, most often for the purpose of improving performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. So if you visit site www.domain.com from US, you receive data from US server. If you visit from Europe, you get data from the closest server (it even may reside in the same country) and thus European IP. So instead of single IP, we have an IP in each country/continent. It surely improves the user experience, but would it improve ranking? What would be Google's Reaction to something like that? Duplicate Content? Penalties?
Hi, I think there will be no benefit if you have an IP in a different country, but I am sure that the fast page load time will benefit you in terms of SEO rankings. Since google announced this in April Check out http://www.maxcdn.com and use the coupon code "digitalpoint" to get an extra 25% off. Cheers, David
Thank you for sharing this information about CDN.. I've tried to find ways how to improved a site speed and now learning about CDN.. Thanks
