CBTrends question.

Now, in CBtrends, I noticed something peculiar (to me).
Now, in this graph of the $ earned/sale for forex tracer, the $earned/sale is at the same value ($62) but the graph seems to be declining.
Now, I thought when a product gets refunds, the graph declines and the value changes to denote that that many number of sales made only this many dollars.

So does a declining trend here indicate that the product is receiving a high amount of refunds or is it because the gravity is dropping?.
Sorry if this is a newb question, but I just needed to know before jumping onto the forex market.

    Thanks all ^^

That graph the way it is would normally indicate either the price has been lowered or refunds are up. However it says $62 all the way down so I think there's some sort of error with the graph. According to those values it should be a straight line. Also possible though is that there is a decline due to increased refunds but the graph is displaying $62 when that value should be changing. I would dismiss this graph, there is definitly something wrong with it.

Now that I'm a publisher I'm quite sure it's actually a myth that you can get any indication at all of what the refund rate is from looking at these numbers. As far as I can tell CB doesn't lower the $/sale or the gravity for refunds.

I say this because I haven't made a huge amount of sales with my product - so the refunds we have had - should (in theory) drastically effect the gravity/earned per sale #s. They don't. At all.

Okay, so I'm right in thinking the fact that forex tracer has had a lot of refunds has nothing to do with the way this graph goes, right?.
    That helped a lot, thanks.

I don't know how many refunds ForexTracer gets as it's not my product - what I'm saying is - as far as I can tell you cannot determine the refund % of a CB product by looking at these numbers. The $/sale does *not* drop when a refund is processed nor does the Gravity drop. CB seems to just ignore it as far as those 2 numbers go. I don't know if they consider it when calculating the popularity (which there's no number for, but which the products can be ranked in the marketplace by - I believe popularity is the overall sales made, although as far as I know the actual formula for it has not been released.)

I don't know where the idea that the earned/sale drops from a refund started - maybe they used to it that way? But they really just don't do that - at least not now.

I've had some refunds with my product and the earned/sale didn't drop at all. The only time the earned/sale dropped was when I actually made sales at a lower price (when I was testing a lower price point.)
