Hey guys, so general question. Is google conversions tracking better than CB tracking code? My main goal is to figure out where on the site my sales came from. I run a blog, so I have a lot of posts pointing back to the vendor's site. However, I'd also like to know what steps a person took before they clicked back to the vendor's site. Anyone have any experience with this? tHANKS.
CB Tracking code will do the job just fine. I don't have much experience with google conversions tracking, but I assume the vendor would need to have to put your code on the thank you page for it to work.
Not adwords tracking, basic analytics. I'm using it for one of my affiliates, and it works great. I can see how my visitors are traveling the site and whats getting them to click on the affiliate link. For it to work, you need a redirect, which shouldn't be a problem since you need a redirect to cloack your links as well.
I can't seem to set this up correctly with clickbank and analytics. Do you type the goals like they have it at clickbank? Ex: Goal #1 ^/order/orderform\.html.*$ Goal #2 ^/order/ordersuccess\.html.*$ Thank Your Page: Your own custom download ?
