    how in the world can anybody take these landing pages seriously. from the moment it loads it looks like something from the carnival. definitely scammy, and untrustworthy. those graphics of gold bricks and piles of money do nothing to enhance your credibility. why can't there be information resources and links why are these things so manipulative. any educated person can see your peddling a steaming pile of crap.

    Are you talking about affiliate landing pages or the actual publishers landing pages? The publishers definitely vary in quality quite a bit.

    It is all about need - if people are in need of a product/solution then they will buy. A sales page that convinces the prospect that they need the product will always convert...no matter what it is selling.

    They often all look the same, hugely long, random fonts, highlighted text, etc. etc.

    Does anyone recommend a good book on sales copy?
    No affiliate links please!

    I always think they sell better to Americans than to Brits, not only is the language more Americanised (spelling ? :D ) but they remind me of those cheesey TV infomercials that we seem to get pumped into our homes over here in Europe.

    "But, if you buy now we'll throw in this 24 piece knife set... watch it cut through flesh, wood, metal... there's nothing it can't cut" - apart from another knife that is

    "If lines are busy, call later, but do call..."

    "Blood, Iodine, Oil, Red wine.. gone in a flash" - like who the hell uses these on a daily basis?

    </tongue-in-cheek>

    Thanks, but I'm looking for a good, honest book. Written by an experienced professional. I'll have a scout on Amazon.
