CB Affiliate Link Question

I came across a new CB product that I am interested in promoting to my list.

However, the aff link points to the splash page (email capture). So once the visitor enters in their email info, they are then taken to the actual sales page for the product.

Therefore, would I still get credit if an individual sent through my aff link to their splash page and then ended up purchasing the product?

Hope this makes sense and thank you!

    Absolutely.

Once a user clicks your hoplink a cookie is created on their PC which is referred to when they open the checkout. If your affiliate link was the last one clicked for that product and the user decides to buy, you will definately get credited for the sale.

    always test your hoplinks.

Setup a spam account on some email out there, or if you have your own web host just create one. then click your hoplink, fill out his information and proceed to checkout.

Once at the clickbank checkout scroll to the bottom and see if your affiliate name is at the bottom. If it is, then alls good and your link worked just fine.

I have never had issues with a clickbank product, but occasionally you hear horror stories of someone promoing a product for six months and then the seller leaves click bank only to have the affiliate continuing to promote the product for free.

Always check your hoplinks... and it cant hurt to check your products once or twice a month...or more if you are a paranoid like myself =)

Hah yeah checking up on things ain't so bad. I never knew you could do like a mock run-through of purchasing products and making sure your hoplink works. Definitely a useful procedure, I'll have to try it every time I set up new ad placement!
