I use permalinks to get rid of the /category/ in my category page URLs. What I wonder is why the price of doing that is that my category/archive pages will no longer paginate properly? I don't use custom post templates - which, when combined with permalinks and dropping /category/, appears to be a well-known issue that breaks WP category pagination. I don't get 404 errors. myblog.com/mycategoryname/page/2 works, it's just not linked to on the first page of the category/archive. I've already tried WCS Custom Permalinks Hotfix and it did absolutely nothing. (Seems like that fix is geared for folks using custome post templates and getting 404 errors.) Category Pagination Fix didn't work either. Has anyone found something that works? I'm running version 3.2.1.
try fast solution ---> open permalink [ Setings - Permalink ] and SAVE.... (not edit.. after click permalink, you just need save) just it... believe me
