I'd like some opinions about the new brand new yet unpublished site: CatchMyBlog In short it's a social bookmarking site for blogs. The more bookmarks, the higher the rankings. The more bookmarks in the least amount of time, the higher the position on the homepage... Quality matters. But see for yourself and let me know what you think. I specially put weight on how quickly you get the idea of the site... You could make use of the FAQ just to let you know Thanks for all your reviews, I really appreciate that.
I would put the "Top Movers" above the "Recently Added". Depends on what section you want to give attention, tought. Overall, there are some problems with the colors. Not that they are bad choices, but they are not consistent. On your menu you've used orange background, white text. This changes when you mouse over to green background. The "Catch" button also gets green background when you mouse over. I would have this color changed (because it's already used at the menu). Green is also the color of the bolded words on the top-left. When I rolled my mouse over the "Catch" link and it became something, I tried to do the same with these bolded words. And nothing happened... Also, the page number has green background. And the search input has green text. Work on these colors, let each one represent something different. When on a category page, say, catchmyblog.com/entertainment/, I think the gray/white squares next to the categories menu could change colors when I mouse over the links. They are very small (the links), so a visual clue of where I am might be a good idea. Or just increase the text You have the pagination "icon" (the number one inside the green square) on, well, pages that don't have more pages It's a trick thing to accomplish, but your current colors say to me when I look at this button: "something will happen when you either mouse over here or click". So, gray it out when there's only one page. I've submited a comment (here: catchmyblog.com/blogs/47/) and clicked on antipower187's profile. When I pressed the back button, the form was resubmitted (and my comment, inserted again). When I visited a profile, catchmyblog.com/users/antipower187/, the "Caught by X people" isn't linked, and the "X comments" is wrong (didn't count my double comments). Still working on this page? Good luck with your website! I think it's a great concept.
Hi, First of all: Thank you so much for testing things out and eventually reporting about the glitches you found. A friend of mine was already testing it but I think he was rather finding the small mistakes in the contents than those in the design So again thank YOU for taking the time to willingly report me about what needs to be changed. I think ALL of your glitches and notices about layout have been encountered and changed. See for yourself if it meets your expectation now Thanks again for the comprehensive input. Sebastian
