Seems like the first two weeks after pay day the prices surge. Do the advertisers get the previous months info on click through rates and conversions after the payment period? I've been doing this for 3 and half months and the surge keeps getting better each time. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yesterday was a record for me and today is shapping up to be another record day. I'm closing in on that $100 per day milestone.
Wow - You're doing very well .. any tips? Im not even bringing in a dollar a day.. well nearly.. I know Ive lots of work to do though!
Advertisers know exactly what they are paying with about a 15 minute delay, maybe longer. Adwords reporting is very close to real time. There may be some advertisers who run out of budget toward the end of the month but I looked at my seven day rolling average (so I can eliminated the weekday/weekend variations) for eCPM expecting to see a decline at the end of the month but over the last 3 months there is no decided cycle. It may be a case of a new advertiser jumping in or someone starting a new months budget.
sparks, i have a lot of traffic on my main site (a lot for me anyway), about 100,000 page views per month. the main thing besides that is to experiment with what works. try different ad placement. i have some pages on my site with extremely low click through rates and will pull adsense from those and try affiliate links. you just have to keep tinkering to see what works. the only other tip is to glean as much wisdom from this forum as you can. there are some very smart, successful, and helpful people here.
