My heart does go out to members who got established in the last 2 weeks and have to start all over again. But with your good attitude I am certain that you will be established in short order. Good luck to you with this.
LOL, I guess even if shawn likes your post it still doesn't give you ban immunity. wonder what an inspirationalist like you could have done between then and now to get banned, lol
I was shocked when I saw this happened. Thanks for the support. I will fight back. I believe that we live what we've learned
This reminds me that I have to get around to doing my own backups again. Sucks that you lost two weeks. I just heard from my webhost that my daily backups are not finishing out properly and they're working on fixing that. If nothing else just know that you've helped remind others that they need to make certain that this type of thing is covered. On another note, I got hacked 2 years ago now and it cost me about 50% of my income for months. I learned a lot from that experience and now my income is double what it was before the crash. It's like a forest fire ... they're horrible right? Yes, they are horrible, but the flames of the fire also help to spread seeds even father. So while part of the forest burns, the forest ends up growing and is stronger than ever years later.
I can imagine how many Indian and Nigerians spammers who got banned within the last 2 weeks are rejoicing.
I'll not argue with you about Nigerians, but my favorite members on DP are almost all from India. As far as I'm concerned DP would not have the flavor and personality that it does without them. Spammers come from everywhere if you think about it.
Very bad that case. But I reall pissed off (sorry ) I'm not so long registered and I work very hard the last days for get my points to go access the Marketplace!!!! Thats why I register here
It looks like eBay is up to its back of the bank scamming again! I never trusted eBay after an altercation I had with them in 2004 and then another one in 2010... Their business practices are anything but agreeable and ethically responsible. I think the blame for this lies on eBay and their Gestapo marketing tactics. If I were the judge in this case, I would go for a sentence of 1 day community service and a $1 fine, with a ban on further restitution in civil litigation to show eBay that it's time they accept responsibility for their actions and stop crying to their parents when the other kids don't let eBay play anymore because everyone's tired of eBay cheating. It's obvious the one with the bigger bankroll at the time (eBay) would come out ahead in this litigation. After all, economically, everyone has more to lose from them losing. I'm not saying that their customer service is lacking, because I'm pretty sure everyone already knows that is definitely true. However, eBay is full of trap-doors and scamming marketing representatives that expect this from their affiliates as well as other black-hat tricks. Their entire marketplace is built on black-hat techniques, so they like to be the puppeteers whenever they can and control the black-hat realm to push as much data towards them as possible. Is eBay mad that their marketing techniques lead to this issue? No! Definitely not. They built it themselves for the purpose of it to reach this climax of an affair. To think that eBay had ever been out of the loop would be ignorant to the facts. This case should have been thrown out at the get-go. eBay needs to own up eventually. It'll happen soon enough and the clock is ticking.
I think that if Shawn released some stats with the TOP geographical locations where spammy accounts are being created, nobody who is regularly reporting spam (like me) would be surprised. Unless the evil Illuminati are behind this conspiracy which purpose is clearly making Indians look bad, in that case I feel sorry for them.
ermm.... I was only kidding. Some of the best freelancers come from India and Nigeria and they both contribute a lot here. Take is easy brah.
