First of all: Thumbs up for a bang up job rolling back to that backup. I have had my fair share of experience with Mysql backups as well, so I know what could have happened :p

Second, no biggy two weeks of data is a mere drop in the bucket. We'll survive :D

That which does not kill us.... and all that :p

After the revamp, honestly my interest to spend time on DP was reduced rapidly. Site speed is slow, alexa rank dropped, PR dropped and now down times and rollbacks. It's really disgusting. You should think about these things seriously.

Dude, you got Hostgator on your Avatar the crappiest hosting out there by far and you are telling DP how to handle hosting? ROTFLMAO :D

Oh well, lost my account :p
    Had to create it again.

Not a big loss for me, similar things happened to my websites before, fortunately I was lucky with backups.

    Glad to see DP online!

You can try to carry on the back your thread in the Google cache.
If you luck, you can post them manually back. LOL

At some point I thought there was a whole network of clusters pulled out as the biggest bodybuilding site(not sure if I am supposed to name it) went down at the same time(lol).

For those who purchased premium memberships, when will they become available again (as we are showing as if we had never purchased any kind of membership)?

You guys seriously need to check if you're under some hacking attacks. The last 2-3 months I've seen this forum down more than any other site I frequently visit. Yesterday I guess was the worst, but what you probably are not aware of is the site has been down quite a bit lately. But then again, I am sure you can see the stats in your Admin Panel.

Hasn't been up and down the last 2-3 months, but has been the last 2 weeks... it was indirectly caused by us slowly migrating our stuff into the new cluster. Having a mixed table environment (some tables in the cluster, some not) was causing problems once in awhile. The entire forum is now in the cluster, so hopefully those issues are done.

Why we have to moan about it...You have worked hard for this forum. And many of us have got many benefits from DP. Bad things may happen, but I'm glad nothing worse happened.

That's a shame, I believe you've had a lot of trouble fixing everything. My established membership is lost but I think I'll survive this and get back it soon. This forum helped many webmasters, and it needs their support and understanding now. I hope it'll get back to normal really soon. Good luck with fixes!
