Might be to do with that advertisers can choose what times of day the advertise at e.g. they don't all advertise all day long on adwords
Ads were all relevant when I went on the site, must have just been an anomaly

not only does that screw the publisher, but it crews the advertisers...just bad systems.

    Pisses me off.

I agree !! my site is only getting a few people each day, but if it were getting 1000's of visitors the advertisers would be paying out unnecessary fee's, i have not yet run a adwords campaign but it makes me wonder now..

At least for now it is having the right ads on your site.... i did experience those moments when you have those ads at odd times. One time i have golf accessories ads on my finance forum which are more about mortgage, insurance and the like...
    Who knows..

    Thanks

Sometime this technical glitch happens. But adsense bot keeps improving its quality. You may not see that ad often. If you want to get rid of it quickly use competitive ad filter option in adsense.

Are you using the word 'cat' any where in your blog? - Perhaps you can think.

I just checked, the closest thing to "cat" is "credit" strange but i am sure it will sort it's self out, i got a 10 cent click before so i am assuming someone actually clicked the Purina add and not a credit card related ad :(

I got noting against adsense they have served my well over the years, but usually irrelevant ads disappear very quickly.
