Sounds like a bad year for dictators/terrorists so far.. First Saddam, now probably Castro.. who's next?

By the way, for those who thinks that world leaders can live forever, that's not the case.

You know the guy is 80 years old, don't you? It is not like a young guy dying of unexplained reasons.

I know. Its not like people live past 80 in other parts of the world, especially those with top rate medical systems. You make a good point.

Wasn't it just last year that Fidel's doctor said that he was in excellent health and would live to be 147? I guess that won't happen.

I hardly doubt that...I think it will be that Cubans will finally have a democracy...Fidels brother has already expressed interest in working with the US.

I agree...especially with central and south america starting to fall under the communist and socialist pull...the more friends the merrier...plus it would help out our immigration issues and trade issues.

Nixon died at the same age as he is now. Johnson died at 63. The length of your life depends a lot on you as a person, in my opinion doctors can help to certain extent and not more. A member of my family, smoked a pack of cigarettes (without filter) a day, drank quite often until he was about 80, didn't pay smallest attention to his diet, eating red meat and fat food, didn't go for any doctor check ups and he lived to be 106 years old. Another one who did not do any of the above died at 58.

Everything is there if fidel's brother will let it happen...as many cubans as want to come to the US, you would think that they would be excited about a democracy...
