Is it against TOS to have a news site about casinos (not online ones)? The rules seem vague. I have done a search and there seems to be a difference of opinion. The site is NOT a casino just a news site that happens to be about casinos....more about the politics etc.? There must be thousands of news sites that have casino content as part of their site with adsense ads on them. If the answer is it's ok,what should I do and what should I not do? Just as an afterthought....if I go ahead and they dont like it will they just tell me to take them off? I really don't want to get banned. Another afterthought....What are the best alternative ads.I can't get Yahoo yet (in UK) Thanks, MKInfo
The policies prohibit They can be quite wishy washy on exactly what may break the rules if you write them too. So the best thing to do is to avoid if you have any doubt whatsoever. If all the employees at google can not agree then we are not going to either.
simply apply for adsense... they'll have a look at your site and tell you whether it's ok. i guess......
...However sponsored ads do appear if you search gambling terms on google. Or at least in the UK they do. - A case of "Do what I say, not what I do"!
Ok I had the standard reply quoting the vague TOS etc. The question now is:If I go ahead will they ban my full account or just tell me to take the ads off. I run ads on a few sites earning mid $xxx/month (don't know if thats relevent) so dont wanna get banned. Anyone with experience of this type of thing....comments would be appreciated. Thanks
the policies for publishers prohibit you run a casino related site.... but looks like Google has no inconvenience in receive peyments from advertisers running casino related sites. I have noted this twice; while you cannot, you will often see adsense promoting casinos in topics like this.
