Well my casino affiliate income from last month got cleaned out by someone hitting a big jackpot, damn! Any other casino affiliates in here, if yes which casino's do you promote?

So the casino that you promote pays you based on what it wins from the player?

I prefer to stick with stuff like poker where you earn a fixed amount based on how much the player plays, rather than on how much he loses.

How are you attracting players? SEO, PPC, e-mail?

I started a casino site about 2 years ago when there was not as much competition getting top rank of number 5 for online casino, then it dropped all of a sudden and I give up. Since then I still have approximately 30-50 active players who regularly lose earning me approximately $3k a month. Last month someone hit a $20k jackpot which cleared my affiliate earnings at that time which were in the range $4.5k.

Wow - so do they take back the money you've already earned, or is your account in the negative (i.e. you won't get paid any more until your players lose enough to get you back to positive)?

Poker and Bingo work pretty well - like I said above, if your players win, you don't lose. In fact, with poker it's better if your players win so they stick around and keep playing (and thus paying more and higher rakes). These are some programs I use; they have some good background information about the demographics of the players, how much they deposit, etc., especially the second link:

    http://www.bingopaycheck.com/join.htm?kbid=1218

I'm working on PPC because getting a new site would be impossible at this point. If you've got an established site, you're probably a lot better off.

Everything cleared each month, last month players had lost cumulatively about $15k, and I earn 30% of this which is about $4.5k. 2 days before payout someone won $20k which meant players were $5k up on the house therefore I earnt no commision that month.

I guess its a cool idea. Your affiiliate risks are the same as the casino's. Kinda wish I had the guts to make a good casino site, but it'd be so hard to compete in the field.

Revenue sharing is a very cool idea (and by cool I basically mean lucrative). But yeah, it sucks when you get slammed by a single big win, especially at the end of the month when you could taste the payout.

Getting good search engine positioning is very tough for casino review sites these days. But, if you can get the traffic from other means, running a portal is still very lucrative (it's basically what we do).

Yeah, I give up a while back, managed to hold top ten position for online casino for about 3 weeks and had good traffic and conversion rate, then it dropped to the 200 mark and since then gets less than 30 uniques a day. Thinking of starting a poker site as there is alot more people playing online and for longer, thus losing potentially more money.

There's no house edge in poker, the house just makes the money on the rake. Poker sites that I've seen pay you a fixed percentage of the rake the company earns - not based on player win/loss.

Wagershare or Casinoblasters both do well for me.
