From all I've read on the subject, the poker affiliate game is likely to take a massive hit from the legislation being passed in the US.

I speculate there is still some juice. IMO I would not mess with it if you live in the USA. If you live in Washington state and have a class 3 gaming license and run a website for casino related sites you can loose your licence and be charged with a felony. I would not be supprised if other states have similar laws.

Many affiliates has taken a dip after the legislation was passed, but I also heard a number that has actually picked up and doubled their income over the past 2 months. It is still growing rapidly and if you are not based in the US you probably have a good chance making some solid income just of your local market . Many casinos are still doing business as usual but those that were listed and withdrew from the US are taking a big bang! Do not just disregard it at this stage, if you are up for a very competitive industry it has a load of money to be made and is still growing.

I'm also non US based, and yes the poker / casino market has much life left, although a very competitive life like Chatmaster said, and he knows what he says.

I have no doubt based on the current legislation that there is some life left especially in the poker realm.

I figure if you are a US resident when legislation "comes around" and you have such a site you will have a few options if you have decent traffic. A buyout of your site or abandonment.

The powers to be will probably be focusing on this market like a laser and make things a little uncomfortable for the ma and pa operation.

The big players will always be there such as the brick and mortar establishments and they will probably be picking up the pieces. I’m sure this will end up eventually as a licensing issue.

Well I understand what you are saying but I like having my chicken neck on the butcher block and handing the butchers knife to the butcher. That is why I never got involved in the industry because I don’t like playing chicken with the train that was long overdue. It is a little more difficult with US residents.;)

Many feel this way. I personally would love for someone to challenge the law in a US court in terms of democratic rights and so forth. I feel this was the first successful assault on the freedom of the Internet and the way it was done makes me sick. It seems like very few people in the industry actually realize what has happened! They lied to the US public, and pushed the law through for their own personal gain, and used terrorism as example. I am surprised that there is no riots in front of the Whitehouse yet! lol, Sorry guys i got a bit excited there!

I can recommend very good affiliate program, I like it because it gives a free domain name, generates a high quality website for free, hosts the website in UK offshore zone for free, there are also a lot of tools such as forums, blogs, poker tournaments, articles, and others, that are easy to install to the site.

More over this affiliate program pays $100 per new player and is going to add 30% revenue share.

It offers casinos, poker rooms, bingo that accept US players. And I know that a lot of US affilaites continue to work in online gambling, they only changed their hostings from US.

But this program offers a UK offshore hosting.

So, if you are interested pm me and I'll tell you more and help you to start.
