Cash Adsense Cheque

I am in a confusion. I just received Adsense Cheque in India and it mentions that Cheque payable at par Citi Bank. Now I don't have Citi Bank Account. Can I cash the Adsense cheque in other Banks or Co-operative Banks ?

 

You can deposit in any bank you have an account, I personally deposit my cheque in a co-op bank.

 

Yes , You can deposit cheque in any bank , that bank will get that cheque cashed . Bank take postal charges ,deduct when cheque is credited.

 

Yes, you can cash your cheque in any bank... just deposit in your account, IMO CITI bank must have their branches in your area [ India ]

if it's in dollars, expect to be charged a handling fee if your account isn't a dollar account

 

Its better you submit your cheque to Citibank in your town if any. no matter you have an account or not. They process faster and easier ..

 

american citibank dont allow to open account to normal person they allow only for corporate as far as i know
you can open an account in any bank and they will send the check to citibank and they will send to usa and u get the money ... its so easy need only 25 day to get that money

 

this question have been asked few times here in the past. a company needs to have a bank account to issue a check and company bank account will pay for the check. for example, if you have an account with HSBC, you will write an HSBC check. the person whom you write the check to doesn't have to have an HSBC bank account to cash it and can deposit the check to his/her bank account.

basically, adsense has their corporate account with citibank and the check is issued thru citibank. you deposit it to your bank who will collect the money from adsense citibank account
