How about pulling members signatures from the view of guests, that is idiotic forum management, I have quit posting on forums because of this silly greed, these guys think their pages will rank better without signatures!
And the rub is that if a signifigant portion of membership leaves, there is less content ---> fewer pages in the SERPs ---> fewer guests ---> fewer members and the circle starts. Forums are a precious thing and one mistake and you could be back to where you started
Which is something Randfish used to do when exchanging links (and got caught) - using a nofollow without telling others. He has later apologized and everything, but I believe Morgan Kelly is who caught it and banned him from his forums temporarily. Sorry, yfs and everyone: but when it comes to who people should respect and believe, it's good to see things from different angles and not rely on someone else telling you what and who is good and what and who is not.
It seems ridiculous in the context of an SEO Forum. What better thing to discuss with your members then if they think it has an effect. If at the end of it, its decided to try it then at least the members are in on it and you will have fewer desertions. Its desparation as far as Im concerned
I never thought I would see the day where you were the off topic broken record and Anthony was the one I was agreeing with My head is spinning
I was just thinking *exactly* the same thing... I may even take anthony off my ignore list :| Yeah - it's a shock to me too...
totally off topic but Is it just me or is terrible amusing when people other people lookup to get caught doing crooked stuff.
I agree, it's not about anything personally - it's just about how funny it is to see someone getting praises and then find out something else My advice: always judge for yourself. Not saying he isn't, but I could link you to a very revealing thread including his admission to deceive. But haven't we all done things we're not proud of? Of course. My point was not whether he is a good or a bad guy, but saying stuff like "Rand is very respected and supports seochat" shouldn't be enough for others to follow the herd and feel like there was something great about seochat that they might have been missing.
That is the only reason I came back, to keep yfs1 from passing me in posts ....and the fact that SEOchat banned me again
I hate to break the news to you but Rand left SEO chat, you should know, you left two posts in his blog thread yesterday!
We know that you left two posts in that thread or we know that Rand is not with SEOchat By your last post you say that Rand is supporting SEOchat
We know that no one was really talking about right now since the Titanic is already on the bottom of the ocean.
