[Case Study] - Step by Step Guide to Rank on First Page - Micro Niche Site

Hi guys, I am going to start a case study thread here. I think it will help to new seo marketers to start a site and improve their rankings and knowledge.

In this year my few micro sites came to first page with targeted keywords check below sites and rankings.

So I thought to start a case study with a brand new domain to share my experience. I already purchased a domain and love to tell how I did the keyword research.

I got success with Amazon product sites and you can see those sites. I like to make a new site with a home product that is the selected niche for the new site.

Keyword Research

My target is to find a domain with exact match keyword and exact searches around 1000.

Searched keyword: bathroom sinks
Two filters are added to filter the results
Local Monthly Searches >= 800
Local Monthly Searches <= 1000

Then downloaded all the keywords and checked for domain availability and found undermountbathroomsinks.net

Estimated CPC is 1.92$ for this site. It is reasonable for adsense.

Ok Now we have a domain but we have to check the competition because need to ensure that we can reach to first page.

I found that this keyword is achievable and following are the reasons

1. Amazon page ranked in the second page with 3 backlinks
2. Nextag pages ranked in the first page
3. undermountbathroomsinks.org ranked in the second page with one article and without backlinks(Oh this is a gift for me I can Ranke my site)

Finally I have a domain with less competition and next step is to research keywords to write articles. I will tell you that in next post. Let me know your ideas.

 

I think 1k/month searches is way to less to bother building even 1 page site ...

 

1k/month for main keyword. If I get it to first page I can add more pages with targeted keywords. That is how I get more visitors. Going with high search volume and high competitive keyword and putting more weight, time and resources is aa another business model.

Getting first page with exact match domain with 1000 searches is an another business model. Those sites are selling at around $1000 in the market. So no need to follow same way o get success. Every single person can their business model to get success.

 

If it's ranking on 1st page then it's always going to get you traffic and $
