Lets not get too excited about how much I pulled in. It is very small amount so nothing to write home about. I've written this article hoping you can get something out of it and how important it is to split test your ads and landing pages. http://www.mulamaker.com/coolsavingscom-split-testing-ads-landing-pages/ Thanks for reading.
Great post. If coolsavings pays more ($1.50) why wouldnt you go direct with them? You mentioned the guy that tried contacting you that you ignored, I would get in touch with him anyway. Good affiliate managers realize that situations change and I bet he would still work with you.
There's no difference between the landing pages - The yellow highlighting will only come on if you have auto complete on with Firefox (or is it Google toolbar?) and haven't been to the site before. I don't see yellow boxes at all. And you won't get their CJ program to match their Azoogle payout - CJ takes a higher cut than Azoogle, so Azoogle can afford to pay more.
Thanks for posting - this is definitely an important step that many people miss when they start testing affiliates. The seemingly smallest differences in ads and landing pages can make huge differences to your conversion ratio. Thus, one offer can be more profitable than a similar one that pays more per lead.
coolsavings.com affiliate area is managed by Performics Network. I don't mind signing up with more networks (already affiliated with 10+ networks) but this point was to share that you should try different type of ads. I'm not concerned about $40 extra dollars; I'll just think of it as coolsavings should buy me lunch or something since they are located in Chicago downtown as I am. (I saw that they read this article from my traffic stats.) Exact point I was trying to make in my article. Thanks for reading.
