Hi, somebody recommended me to use Casale Media, www. casalemedia. com Did any of you use it? If yes, are you satisfied? Also, can I use Casale Media if I already use AdSense on my site? Thanks
Casale is easy to get into, but they never fill your inventory (an average of 50% defaults) and their rates are sh*t. I'd call them a second tier network, or even third tier. When I was with them, I had them shoved down to #4 in my default chain.
That's ridiculous, go to Sitepoint and read the reviews of casale. I get great rates and 85-88% fill rate
It's the truth, and simply my own personal experience with them. Barely a 50% fill rate. But I have to admit, they have really nice people working there. They also send out nice Christmas cards.
Casale is one of the top networks, fill rates depend on the type and amount of inventory you give them.
Can I use Casale mixed with AdSense? I actually read here on the forum that it should be ok, but I'll dig for some more on adsense site
Yeah, I've checked that. As long as it's not the same advertising type as AdSense it should be ok. Also, on topic: adolix> I started using Casale Media last night with an eCPM of $0.74 and a fill rate of 54% (ONLY! ) and I got a total of $0.23 (within 14 hours or so) and it's a brand new website. So, if you have A LOT of impressions and good traffic from United States especially (Canada, Australia and Western Europe are ok as well) you should make good money. Good luck!
Hi guys, Can you please tell me how CPM based ad networks work. Does a particular ad have to viewed a thousand times before you get paid the specified cpm rate. How many ads can you have per page. Also, are the ads automated like adsense based on content or do you have to manually choose the ads you want. If someone had a site that generated 10,000 impressions a day but only had his ad on his home page that generated 100 impressions out of the total 10000, how much would he receive? I ask this because I know that ads based on clicks can be a bit unpredictable.
- each networks ahs its own rules about the number and positioning of ads - i tried Casale and Bidvertise, and both sucked, from my point of view... $0.5 per day is not acceptable, for a site with 3000 uniqus a day... - so, adsense still rulz good luck
For example, Casale Media deployes banners on your site depending on the location of the visitor. While some banners have a huge rate (up to over $9/1000 impressions), most of them are highly targeted (the $9 one is for California visitors only). If you have a lot of traffic coming from the US then you're lucky. Some banners are available internationally, but they have lower rates (some of them very low - like $0.25/1000) even then you probably won't get much if your visitors come mostly from an undeveloped country. On average I would estimate that you could get about $0.40-$0.60/1000 impressions if your website is worldwide targeted.
CPM advertising is ONLY suitable for websites with high number of page views. I got $1.5-$2 for 3000 uniques and 10.000 page views today (12 hours).
What I mean is, does an ad have to viewed 1000 times (impressions) or is it based on the impressions for the whole site (even if the particlular ad itself is not viewed for 1000 impressions).
Ads are rotated automatically by your ad provider and - even if they have a specified value per thousand - they give you revenue no matter the number of impressions. Just divide the 'per thousand price' by 1000 and you'll get the $$ for each impression. However that is done by the provider so you can see the totals in your account.
This would mean people with very popular sites i.e those that get 40-50,000 impressions a day for the whole site will at least make $40/50 a day even if the cpm is $1, am I right?
