Another .biz brings excellent ($X,XXX) profit at sale

Yup. Non TLD naysayers are once again being fed crow today.
Carlsbad.biz just brought $8250, as reported at sedo.com

Not bad for a registration fee cost and then total net profit of over $8200, huh?

As each domainer sunset occurs, yet another .biz, .us, .net and even geographic domain brings more and more profit (remember condo.fm just a few days ago?)

The rise in non .com valuations and recent domain sales is spurring a even heavier interest in domaining, and speculators are coming from everywhere. We have real NYSE money coming into the fray, but with the explosion of private money coming in by the droves, the domain biz seems to have a full head of steam with no end in site.

Just to sweeten the market, I'll leave you with one more recent domain sale example from this week.. miamiflorida.us ($1550).

wow! I guess the business tactic here is to register a 1 (or possibly 2) word common noun

ya... i still wont be buying .biz. A few lucky sales doesn't make a whole TLD worthwhile. Just because real super generic market terms (like condos, or apartments) will command premiums across any TLDs as long as there are a few speculators and those will be the ones, if there is ever action in the tlds, wlil be the big ones. That doesn't make buying randomnounandsomeverb.sametld worthwhile. .biz has never taken off... do you really expect huge returns on it?

as a wise man on another forum says: value = price x probability of sale... how likely is your .biz sale?
