Carlito's Way with Al Pacino is one of my all time favorite movies. Pacino is terrific and Sean Penn is creepy.
While it's hard to top Pacino's classic performance in Scarface, Carlito's Way does hold it's own as a pretty good film. When I first saw it I was genuinely surprised at the ending, and thought overall it was very well done. Both Scarface and Carlito's Way were directed by Brian DePalma, so it only stands to reason they would have at least a few similarities.
