If you were in an established career, with which you were making ends meet most of the time, and were offered an opportunity to leave this career for a higher paying opportunity, what would you do? Now, let me add some more. Your career now is with a well established, large company with plenty of opportunity to advance, although in a lower-end corporate salary range. You will never get rich here, but you are as secure as anywhere. You have been there for most of the company's existence, and have seen them grow and succeed. New place; less-established but highly successful in short time. Growing very quickly, and leading their market. They want you to help them grow, because you have experience growing with your current company. Pay will be higher immediately, however opportunity for future advancement may be limited. What do you do? Stick with what your comfortable with? Take the new challenge, and hope for the best? Comments?
I'd stick with the most secure option. I am not much of a risk taker and I want the tried and true methods.
