Ok so heres the deal, Im 15 years old and have lately started thinking A lot about what I want to do for a career. My options are stuck between taking over my dads machine shop which would mean i would make over $100,000 a year (Thats what he currently makes) OR Be a webmaster (Im leaning towards) OR Be a computer repair person (Have alot of experience there)

Any help please?? This is a very tought decision for me!

Your father's business is always going to be there with you or without you.

Work as a webmaster.... and see how it goes...

Being a webmaster is not just about money. you can earn a minimal of $100/month or become a milionaire if you become a webmaster. It depends on luck and other stuffs. but one thing about web designing is the satisfaction you have with your designs and the pleasure of it.

If you are serious about earning Go for your Father's Job.

If youre making a good amount of money right now with websites I would say continue. Its all up to you in the end, we dont know which one you like better. Dont do anything you wouldnt be happy doing.

Exactly, first study and only then think about the profession. You still have a long way to go and my advice is for you to take a course in something you like. After you’ve done that you can choose whether to take over the family business or not.

I would go to college and see if its for you. If its not, then you can work for your dad.

Go to College then take over your Dad's business. Studying is extremely important. In case of a recession it will be "easier" to find a job if you are qualified.

I just think that taking over his dad's business is just too easy... no adventure in that... The nice thing about a webmaster life.. is that it's full of adventure.

I would say Follow Your Heart and do what you feel you will be most comfortable doing as well as find enjoyable...

    P.S.
My father had his own Industrial Electronics Manufacturing Company for over 40 years, and through no fault of his own he had to close it down as costs for manufacturing in the UK had shot through the roof and all his clients went abroad for their business. There are no certainties in life except for one. Think of the Long Term as well as the here and now. All the best...

What do you enjoy more? What I would work for your dad's company for a bit and be a webmaster on the site (because honestly, the income is so inconsistant). With your dad's company, you can earn money which will help you fund some online projects! If you are feeling that you can make it big with making money online, make it your fulltime job :)

Ask for advise in the area where you live. Here you are getting advice from India, Romania, Portugul, all countries with GDP per capita of less than half of the US. Economics are very different here. You may do OK with a programming degree where you live but in some places it pays you just enough to get you to come back the next day.

To do well you need to work for your self, you can take over the family business and work the web master side at night.

Learn your fathers craft and get a degree in computer science. This gives you two things to fall back on. Then, you can eventually take some of the earnings of the machine shop and apply them to web ventures.
