    Hi all,
New here so i thought i would touch base and get some feedback on a topic that has been on my mind as of late. Iv'e decided to drop card payments from my website as we quite simply do not get enough of them to warrant the cost of running a merchant account and paying Sage pay.
However, i am also inclined to think that perhaps this is a option better left open. although most businesses prefer to pay using bacs, faster payment etc and usually want 30 days to pay in you do get those that are willing to pay upfront. I guess these are the kind we all want to deal with really.
Also running an online shop as one element of my business without card payments as an option does seem a little odd. What do you think?

    Hi John,

Welcome to Digital Point! Running a business with an online component makes being able to process instant online payments kinda essential. Your clients don't want to be waiting to make payments or to transfer money etc. An option you can try rather then having a merchant account with a company like Sagepay would be to use an online payment processor. AlertPay.com is a payment processor that offers free merchant account services. You can set up an account and receive Credit Card payments with no account or setup fees, you are only charged a small percentage when you receive money.

This service is ideal if you will be receiving occasional payments through your website. For more information check out our seller guide: Sell with AlertPay
or DM me with specific questions :)
