Hi, I am using my Bank of Baroda (INDIA) debit card to verify my paypal account. It is a visa card and the bank is also NEFT enabled. The card is valid by all means but still paypal is not accepting it.It gives an error message that the card you are using is not authorized by the bank.I contacted the bank but they too could not help. What might be the possible reason?
Debit cards not work for pp for verification in india. PP accepts only CC. you can use VCC for verification(only)purpose, but you can not add funds to your PP a/c. If you can try with SBI international visa/master debit cards..(not ATM cards...they are just tongue cleaners) they work for verification.
Only for US debit cards paypal offer their verification facility via debit cards. All else you have to link with your original credit card. Though it is not legal many are using vcc too..
As discussed so many times earlier that you can't verify your indian paypal account using any indian debit card. You need only valid Credit Card for that. DON.
Its basically for security purposes that why that happened to you. I do believe PP screen some users and limit their action. I used a debit card to verify my account but i don't come from india. I guess you have to bear the brunt of being a citizen of india. You can apply for a VCC.
Indian debit cards are not allowed to verify paypal account. YOu either need a real credit card issued by a Bank or you may use VCC to verify.
Maybe below given thread helpful to you. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1473984 DON.

Hey guys I have landed into more problems with paypal asking for the bank statement of the card (that they rejected) as address proof.Though I have it but it does not have the address printed on it.I wonder why the asked for it when they already rejected it.
