I'm guessing you'll win. I see your site #1 in google.com and I think the dude will only use google.com results!! Though based on comments on the site, some people see me 1st today. Though since Alex is in Canada and you almost always see your site #1 since you're in Canada, I think you'll get it even if us Americans see my site show up #1 again.

 

A new strategy for this contest just occured to me...

Dont get nervous Nintendo...but...

instead of doing SEO for my site i will just investigate all the sites above mine and expose them for using black hat. Then they will be disqualified and I will win by default. hehe

OK, this is nuts!!!! So last night carcasherdotcomseocontest.ca was #1 on quite a few datacenters after knocking shortcuts.biz off, then suddenly over the next six hours, all the datacenters gradually changed to show my site #1, bigdaddy and non-BD. Now, after the prize money is sent out....shortcuts.biz starts talking over 1st place again!! Is this luck or what!! Right now over half the datacenters show shortcuts.biz at 1st!!!!

 

Can you tell us a bit about what you did to get win the contest this month?

 

It seems that the main factor for the top sites is the BLs.
shortcuts.biz has about 12,000 BLs showing in Yahoo
carcasherdotcom-seocontest.com has about 10,000 BLs showing in Yahoo.

Seems like we should call this a back-link contest instead.

Seems like the tops sites are people that own a bunch of other websites and can easily throw up thousands of links to their contest sites. Kinda depressing for me since i only have a small network of sites. I suppose people without a big portfolio of sites (like me) will just have to be more resourceful.

With Yahoo and MSN, back-links don't help nearly as much!!!!

 

That is going to be the story with most seo contest I believe.

How is this seo contest going so far? Do you think its getting close to the size of the v7. King of Da Wackos is starting to rule the realm of backlinks also. LOL but ya gotta love him.

thats how I feel. but then again, the only real reason that I would want all 3 SE's to be in the running is to increase odds of winning SOMETHING, lol. really I use the same strategies across the board anyways...
