I am putting my automotive site for sale. I started it in December 2005 and the domain is registered until December 2006. "Launched" (live) on December 20. I'm a big car nut and I began writing articles until winter break (still in school) was over and I just couldn't find time.

The site gets a steady average of 100 unique visitors per day, about 90% from search engines and all visiting the 0-60 and quarter mile page which is pretty much the only thing i update now. I am subscribed to 6 car magazines and with each issue comes news tests and i just input the data onto that page through the backend (wordpress) which makes things very easy to manage. The 0-60 page currently has over 1500 bookmarks.

I planned to do a maintenance directory and have a page of resources for every model of car however after some time spent on it, I realized it would be really really time consuming.

Revenue - I had accumulated about $43 from Google Adsense from December 20 through January 23 when the site was prompty banned from the program with no explanation. I emailed them for a reasons and was just given some copy-paste stuff. Top day was around $8-$9. Currently it is running on Yahoo Publisher's Network. I started YPN for the site on 2/14 and it has generated $27 through today, 3/11. This is without targetting and only with a placement on the sidebar. A good place to put them would be between the car stats on the 0-60 page. That is what I did with adsense. No link sales have been made, therefore no required links.

Google Page Rank is 4 and Alexa ranking is about 1,800,000 but that is pretty irrelevant. It's been getting better with each update though. I have some other ideas for the site like providing factory stock images and specifications.

The domain is relatively easy to remember.

I used to host some videos for finalgear.com but i have stopped doing that as it used up too much of my bandwidth.

Why was in banned in google?

 

probably click-attack. no other reason i can think of. i mostly work on it in the backend and i have adblock on too so it definitely wasnt me
