Car question - need help!!! (radiator related)

    Hello,

I've just recently purchased a 1992 Dodge Shadow ES from a friend, there was one problem with the car: it had a huge crack in the radiator. So after some eBaying, I came across this item. I was wondering, will this radiator be able to fit my car? The guy who sold me it doesn't think so as he said the car I have has a 3.0-liter engine, which is bigger than the standard in that particular model dodge shadow.

Anybody have an opinion on this? I keep getting mixed reviews, I just don't know where to go to a true expert who can answer this question. I tried emailing the seller but haven't got a response yet.

Well there is not a whole lot of information there. That is a business and sells radiators for many different vehicles. If the radiators are different on the different engines then they should have one for it. I would take your VIN# on the car, which would be located in the drivers side windshield on the dash there, and call a Dodge dealer and have that VIN# run and they will get you a part# or a size of that radiator. There is no charge for a VIN# run. Call and ask.

I went ahead and ordered a radiator from PartsTrain.com. They weren't too much more in priced (cost $110 including shipping), and it stated the part was compatible with "6 Cyl., 3.0-liter, ES", so that should cover me.

Thanks for the help and the forum links, will be using those in the future definitely.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. I don't know anything about those forums linked up there so I don't know how helpful they are. I do all my own vehicle work if I have the tools to do it. You have any questions I am around here. I got a transmission coming for my truck right now as a matter of fact. I will be putting that in soon.
