I didn't know what I was doint, and hooked up my amp remote to the headunit chassis. I took the amp appart, and it don't look fried, or smell fried. Its not receiving power, and I checked with a multimeter, and the power is getting to the trunk, and the remote wire is now fine, but the amp don't work, or light up. I checked the ground, and that was good too.
I'd help you if I could but my knowledge is in engines and drive lines and what have you not in electronics. You ever need help mechanical wise look me up. EDIT: Check your fuse. If it ain't a fuse I really don't know what to tell you.
I just rehooked it up, and it worked for about 15 minutes. I had to take out my head unit cause of static from the antenna, and something is shorted somewhere or something. The light on the amp is shot, it won't turn on, but it works!!! Thanx for your help anyway.
Glad to hear it is working. If I was an electronics man and not a mechanics man I probably could have helped a lot more.
