More like this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/09/10/wirq10.xml I know, raining on your parade, Briant.
I think you missed the point. You have to have heard this story before and at least glimpsed the ramifications of it
I don't believe anyone misses your point. You've worked hard to make it clear. Your hard work has paid off
Speaking of the tenderness, love and affection gworld has for his buds, here's a touching terrorist moment I'm sure he and Briant can admire. How sweet!
That will bring a tear to his eye, i'm sure he will find it very touching. Gworld, grab the kleenex before reading!
I know as a "Republican", you will most likely enjoy this kind of actions if you one day end up in prison but that is beside the point.
The Geneva Convention doesn't apply to people who are cowards and fight in civilian clothes. But, I'm sure you know that and don't care. David Hicks has nothing to do with free speech. He was captured while fighting against US troops in Afghanistan. But I guess attempting to kill US troops is a "free speech" issue for the left. I'd rather be aware of the dangers in the world than "feel safe" only because I'm ignorant. This is why the left keeps losing.
I think this picture and your caption is perfect example of your type of Christianity. Let's torture some people in the name of Jesus.
don't leave out that they routinely hide behind women and children also...but like you said, GWhirled and the rest of the terrorist loving conservative hating left will ignore that fact as well....its called appeasing.
US Department of Defense Geneva Convention A prisoner of war (POW) is a soldier, sailor, airman, or marine who is imprisoned by an enemy power during or immediately after an armed conflict. The laws apply from the moment a prisoner is captured until he is released or repatriated. One of the main provisions of the convention makes it illegal to torture prisoners, and states that a prisoner can only be required to give his name, date of birth, rank and service number (if applicable). Article 4 of the Third Geneva Convention protects captured military personnel, guerrilla fighters and certain civilians. Guerrilla (also called a partisan) is a term borrowed from Spanish (from "guerra" meaning war) used to describe small combat groups. Guerrilla warfare operates with small, mobile and flexible combat groups called cells, without a front line. Guerrilla warfare is one of the oldest forms of asymmetric warfare. Primary contributors to modern theories of guerrilla war include Mao Zedong and Che Guevara. While "asymmetric warfare" is the military term for guerrilla tactics, it is often referred to in the pejorative as "terrorism." Guerrillas are often characterised as terrorists by their opponents. Guerrillas are in danger of not being recognized as combatants because they may not wear a uniform, (to mingle with the local population), or their uniform and distinctive emblems my not be recognised as such by their opponents. Article 44, sections 3 and 4 of the 1977 First Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions, "relating to the Protection of Victims of International Armed Conflicts", does recognise combatants who, due to the nature of the conflict, do not wear uniforms as long as they carry their weapons openly during military operations. This gives non-uniformed guerrillas lawful combatant status against countries that have ratified this convention. Now, who is the ignorant moron? You are just a parrot repeating what you hear without knowing anything about the actual laws and treaties.
That would be you....I heard about this and knew I had to respond.... From The Council of Foreign Relations: You don't have to read the whole thing (not that you would), so I just pulled one part of it for you. http://www.cfr.org/publication.html?id=5312
I already said that you are a parrot. I quote the actual texts from Department of Defense and the Geneva convention while you quote some wacky interpretation from a Bush ass kisser blog. You could as well quoted Gtech or any of the other morons here.
