Nothing, really. I think they are looking for sites with hundreds of thousands of unique visitors. I also think that some credit card companies will only target the US and Canadian customers.

Yes, signing up with advertisers may be a little burning if you dont have good sales. Since you are new to CJ, most of the advertisers will decline your offer of participating in their network.

I really had great success in convincing advertisers and I have answered this question in another post. I wouldn't like to copy paste the whole thing here, please check the following link ..

You don't have to do much to convince advertisers, its just that you have to prove that you will bring sales for them.

    Hope that helps ...

    Andy.

I tried writing to the affiliate managers and I explained to them that this site and that site will promote your product. They usually reply to you and approve your application.

Man, that really works. I remember signing up with Diamond.com advertiser. I was so happy to read their reply. They specifically mentioned, "We need more affiliates like you who care to show so much dedication and we will be glad to promote our brand through your website(s)". Man, I really loved that sort of response from an advertiser like Diamond.com ... This is what you get for showing dedication and contacting the advertisers. :)
    Regards,
    Andy.

To get approved you need a legitimate site that does not have any content that suggests illegal activities. Alternatively, you can sign up and promote credit cards through Credit-land affiliate program with free datafeeds or free cobranded program (easy to build credit cards site in 10 minutes).

Yes,an individual request to an advertiser helps....No way they could determine your monthly impressions in such a fraction of a second as I got the app declined immediately. But the fact may be that do no belong to US/canada which is required by majority of advertisers
