One of my sites is showing errors when I try to verify the code for Google Webmasters Tools. It reports "we encountered an erro looking up your domain name." This site has been verified for over two years. The site loads fine and I have run several DNS checks with various sites. All report correct nameserver info. I'm concerned that this could affect indexing, as the site has not been chached since 3/19. What can I do about this?
Sorry to hear that old friend.. Did you try to reverify it with a new google.html thing or meta tag? p.s. i found this http://www.google.co.uk/support/web...?answer=35638&useful=0&show_useful=1&comment= And found this and it seems others are now having the same problem. http://groups.google.com/group/Goog...ad/f02eee0053c32358/6424b710bd4e70d4?lnk=raot Mabye googles having problems you could try different methods of verification if you havent already, good luck.
Yeah, I saw those...hi, BTW. Things is, there's no otherwise detectable issue with the server. If the firewall were blocking it, my other sites wouldn't verify. And DNS resolves under multiple tests.
You have an awful lot of faith in me. Ironically, the issue just cleared up about half an hour ago, immediately after I submitted a ticket to NonSupport at my host. Submitting that ticket works every time. The never give any customer support, but sending that desperate ticket always fixes strange problems. Good Luck
