Cant verify [Google Webmaster Tools]

    Hey all..

    My site is http://example.com ...

    i have created a new extension of my site:

    http://newsite.example.com


    http://example.com is verified by google.. but even after uploading their google896875894.html file or even adding a meta tag google webmaster tools still cant verify me :confused:

    is this because my http://example.com is already verified ? do i even need to set up a new site map for a subdomain ??

    this one really confuzzling me :confused::confused:

    Anyone able to help with this ??

    I really am struggling to work out why this is happening.

    I upload their google45643964632.html file... or add their meta tags.. and when i click verify it says it cant..


    ive already proved my http://example.com site is mine.. anyone got any ideas ? or has this happened to you ??

    does a subdomain http://newsite.example.com even need a sitemap if the http://example.com already has one ?

    Me too have faced this kind of problem few days ago, I just got disappointed and left it.

    But I again tried verifying my site after few days and it worked absolutely fine without any error.

    You too can wait and do it after 3-4 days. This is all I can suggest.

    i even read my first lot of FAQ's and it didn't even come close to my issue, so maybe it is a bug.. :confused:

    You have to verify it.. This will be a new process. I mean, A subdomain will be counted as a new site and you have to add it first.

    Abhik, Please read the things first, It suggest to create a new profile for each subdomain, you can give what ever name you like and place filter on each profile. So For main domain it will filter all subdomain traffic and for each individual subdomain it will filter all other subdomain and main domain traffic.

    Domain and sub domain were treated as different site, so you must submit separately. when the verification failed, check again if the meta tag inserted properly on header section. Then verify again. It takes a day or so.

    i also face this problem solution of this problem is just go to webmaster tool and delete your already submit .xml file and urllist and submit it again on google webmaster tool. because it essential to submit because after submit you page in webmaster tool you can easily crawl your all pages.
