So, I received a trademark violation for having one of my AdWords lines stating something in the format "Full sentence quote from article about product" -Name of magazine The trademark violation was the name of (an extremely well known) magazine. I find it pretty nutty it's not possible to quote a well known publication--it seems a pretty obvious case of fair use to me at least. But hey, what do I know--I'm certainly no lawyer. Is this a common complaint or just a hyper-reactive magazine?
It might be "the extremely well known" magazine "name" that's trademarked and stopped you rather than just the quote. I came across that trying to advertise a major credit card. I had to use a name variation, which is what everyone else does. Search for that magazine and see how it comes up on the right.
