Suggestion Can't the Auto-logout Time be Delayed?

This has happened to me quite a few times - I'm replying to a thread and due to some reason or the other, I'm away from DP for a few minutes. It could be due to an urgent email, a phone call, or some other silly reason. When I come back and finish my reply and hit Post, I find that I've been logged out automatically!

I'm guessing this is a built-in security feature, but is there any way a user can remove/delay this setting? If it's not in the hands of the users, is there a possibility to allow users to tweak this setting in their account?

it's a personal setting wrong with your computer or something, I haven't been logged out in months.

When you log in, check the "Remember Me" check-box.

Maybe something is really wrong with my browser. I did try checking the "Remember Me" box and yet the same thing happened. I didn't know that there wasn't an "auto-logout" feature in the first place, sorry :D Now I just need to try and figure out what's wrong with my old Seamonkey browser....

Try doing the following: Login and log back out. Then start over and login with the remember me option.

Always happens to me. Since I registered here until 2 mins ago. I'm using Firefox and same thing happens when using another PC. Are you sure guys this is not a setting from DP or a setting from our DP account?

Those of us using the remember me option have no trouble so long as browser features are set in standard manner. I have no problems with Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome.

Members that have problems report that by logging out of DP and logging in with remember me option usually solves the problem.

Wow all of a sudden many members have come out talking about the same problem. In the time that I've used DP on Firefox, I haven't faced this problem, and I do use the Remember me feature. I hope it works for the rest of you too.

It's probably a common issue with vbulletin.
Do this, Logout and clear all your cookies. Then come back and login with the Remember Me box checked.

Using the actual "Log Out" button will flush out any old cookies you may have left over (in case that wasn't clear).

That Log Out button never cleared the cookies for me in any vBulletin forums.. Using Firefox.
