I can't logon to an account I created yesterday (account: morewords). I set up the account yesterday, and added the code sitewide. My site was given a weight of about 34k, so it looks like things were working. I submitted an ad and it was approved, two more were in the queue. Today I try logging on to see how it's doing and the login screen just redisplays each time (tried a couple of browsers so I don't think it's a cookie problem). Won't let me logon. When I try to get a password reminder I'm told the account DOESN'T exist. When I try to recreate the account I'm told the account DOES exist and that the domain is already used by an account. I've removed all the ad code now. Pity, this looked like a great system and was easy to setup. One possibility: is there an email validation step? I didn't realise until a few minutes after I signed up that the email address I signed up wasn't forwarding correctly. I soon fixed it, but if there was an immediate validation message I may have missed it.
Might want to give some info for Shawn or one of the other editors to help locate the problem, username, url, etc.
As I mentioned, the account/username was "morewords". www.morewords.com. Note that I have now removed the ad code (as the password reminder tells me the account doesn't exist).
Oops, as saying goes, it it (in this case the two ads) had been a snake it would have bitten me. Shannon
Many thanks Shawn, it's working now. I haven't tried to hide the ads (indeed they're in bold text) but I have tried to blend them in with the various other ads - perhaps a bit too successfully! I've only put two ads in (from here) to avoid overloading the side bar. Rob
