The sign up for iTunes affiliate program is made through LinkShare. The problem is that each time i fill in the form the application throws the following error over and over again: State/Province is improperly formatted I tried filling in the form with different countries and postal codes but the error is the same. I've never likes CJ, by the way, ebay dropped them a while ago, which is a good reason already why not to choose them (I couldnt sign up with ebay through CJ). So, anyone has any idea of how to solve this problem?
Either promote Apple via Commission Junction or resolve the issue with your current network. eBay didn't really "drop" CJ - they just decided it was time to develope their own in-house platform. Considering the size of eBay & their network this definitely makes sense. As far as your issue, it seems that if you can't resolve it with the network - joining CJ is your only option. In my personal experience, it's not a bad option to have either. Take care.
Has anyone got approved for the Apple affiliate program recently? I had a message in my CJ account awhile ago that Apple was discontinuing their aff program due to the high volume of applicants and that they would possibly re-open enrollment in the future.
Have you tried getting into the iTunes Affiliate Program lately? I was messing around with it again a few months ago and it was no problem to get in. That sign up form will definitely error though if you already have an account, ie your tax ID number or SS # is already used by an account. Just a heads up that the Apple Affiliate Program and the iTunes Affiliate Program are completely different and run out of different affiliate networks.
