Is a live id required? I don't need another inbox to check my mail and I don't want people to think I am a scammer.
Hi jNorth, No you do not need to use an email address, if you go through the regular signup you can create a normal username, no Windows Live ID required Thank you, Brian H - MSFT
Awesome, I though a live id was required. I will try it. I have a yahoo account that I may want to bring over when the merge happens. I will try to create an account, but I am running chrome in ubuntu - linux, so hopefully it works.
