Hi guys, I run a Futurama forum which gets around 700 uniques a day, 1000 visitors a day, 60,000 hits a day. Google Adsense also says I'm getting 3000-4000 impressions a day yet most days I only get 1 or 2 clicks. Sometimes none. I make less than $2 a day every day and in the last 17 days I've got 50,000 impressions, 24 clicks and only made $16.56. How can I get more, the site is costing me $50 a month as it is with no profit.

    Thanks.

    It's a forum, I can't just change the niche.

Are you tracking each ad separately? Did anyone ever click on the ad at the bottom?

For a start, I'd blend the top ad with the grey background. Change the title and text to black, URL to dark blue or also black.

Is that Welcome image necessary? I'd make it much smaller! And with your site being a forum, you always have to expect less earnings.

Thanks for the reply. I track them seperately yeah and the bottom one gets very little clicks.

I will change the colours to those you mentioned and see if it makes any difference and I'll see if I can make the welcome image smaller too.

change the theme. remove the huge header banner.
add 2x 336x280 under nav bar. add 336x280 inside first post.
setup channels to track performance of banners

Your CTR is a mess, thats for sure. The only thing i can advice is to try out some different positions for your ads because forums always have problems with getting clicks because of the bad placements.

Hey Where is your Adsense?? I can't really find it.. Maybe that's the reason why you have less clicks

looking at the forum now I see no ads at all.
Also,i would think it would be hard to have a high CPC, and CPR on a forum about this niche. (even tho it is a great tv show) you wont have any targeted ads, and most of your users will pay no attention to them.

Best thing i think for you right now would be to tray and sell ad space yourself, you would likely get more that way...

Try to put 336 x 280 ads and put the links as blue color above the fold also.
