Hello, can someone explain me what could be the reason of this: i'm doing seo more than 7 months and i cannot rank to the first page of google. My top result is page 5. I can't believe My forum is 9 months old Help me please, could domain age be the reason??
Hi It largely depends on the keyword you are targeting, if you have one that is too general then competition will be more then it will be harder to achieve first page
Domain age is just a myth. It all comes down to links and quality of links. If the competition is high and your competitors have better quality links, they will rank higher.
Domain age is only of the reasons, but more than that, you should look at the quality of your links and how many backlinks you have. Your site's/page's relevance to the keywords you're targeting has far more weight in page rank than the age of your domain. I suggest you look at the links as well as the sites these links come from and make sure that they come from sites related to your niche and uses anchor text related to or are similar to your target keywords. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
That isn't true at all. It is NOT all about links and quality of links. One of the most important factors in trying to rank for a keyword is making sure that your on-page content for the page you are trying to rank is relevant to the keyword. Are you trying to rank the homepage? Do you see Google ranking you for any long-tail keywords related to that main keyword? What type of SEO have you been doing so far?
Well my dear, domain name is always a considerable thing, but apart from that, you said you have a forum, does your site have good quality content? Do analyze the same, and I hope you can get the answer.
D- Yes, based on your footer links, you have chosen a crowded arena. A forumn is only as powerful as the participation and and it takes a long time to build in a crowded market. If you continue doing solid SEO and get lots of visitors, you should gradually start moving up. And, ironically, in this fast paced Internet world, 7 months is not that long for ultra competitive terms. Good luck! --TP
Yes. it may be. Now days google ranking only old domain for first pages or your domain must have good reputation online. Also check your SEO Strategy. Maybe you are targeted high competitive keywords to get top ten ranking.
i would like to suggest you for using do follow link because google gives the best priority on do follow link.
Just keep building quality links and over time you will see a positive increase. If your struggling with how to build links then check out this tutorial http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/tutorials/the-ultimate-guide-to-tiered-link-building-part-1/
You also can be penalized by Google, check your webmaster tool inbox, if there is no any emails, you still can be lowered by automatic filters. Try to mix keywords with long tail anchors, also find some strong and trustful sites in you niche and get few links from it with naked url as an anchor from in content relevant block of text. It helped me, good luck
first you must think about is if you're targeting the relevant kw for your site...its content would also be a big factor and the quality of links pointing to your site.
First page ranking is often a difficult target for starter, so be paitent, try using the right keywords and yes you should also look at the pages in your first page for ideas on what you can do to improve this situation as well.
Start SEO of your website and make your website's back-links with rich keywords, this will increase your PR and traffic so your website will improve in the view of Google and other search engines.
I put my recipe to ranking number one or creeping close to that number 1 spot down to unique content, quality and high authority ranking backlinks and a great following a social sharing base.
This really depends on the keyword phrase you are trying for. If its very general you will have a very difficult time beating out these other sites. I suggest targeting more long-tail keyword phrases first. Get some great content on those pages, hopfully visitors will stay on your site, click thru pages and of course the links will naturally start to flow. Over time you may be able to target more general key word phrases and have a fighting chance.
