Cant play certain DVDs in my PC

    yesterday i got a DVD of movies on rent. But it didnt play in my PC. I have DVDs which play in my PC but this one didnt play. Its strange. One of my friends said that certain DVDs are protected and cant be played on PC but can be played on TV ( with DVD player, of course)..and it did play that way..can ya'll help me with this???
    How can I make that DVD play on my PC???

    Did you get any error messages or anything? It could be that or a region problem. There are quite a few things that can go wrong actually.

    i would have to agree. I've never had problems with dvd's playing on my xp comp's. ..

    i would advise buying xp before june 30.

    I think you can install a firmware on most DVD drives which allows you to play all regions.
