Hi, My friend sent me some money that he owed me to my PayPal and it said at the bottom of the email stating I had received funds and need to register a account, but I have a account which is for that email that the funds were sent to. This makes me think that my email address in my PayPal account has been changed or PayPal have banned me for no reason! It had $20 in it to pay for a upcoming hosting bill. I have not even recieved a email from PayPal regarding either being banned or a change in email, which is confusing. Does anyone have any advice for me to follow
I am not exactly sure why this would happen. If I were you, I think your best bet would be to contact Paypal immediately.
I hope you did not click on the email link to go to Paypal and log in. If you did, you might be in trouble has somebody might have tried stealing your pass. Always open paypal in new tab yourself and close the tab itself after you are finished with your work. Did you try logging in into your paypal account? What is the message that you receive? I am not interested in what e-mail says...Just inform us as to what you get to read as error on Paypal page! Regards, RightMan
No he told me he sent it, and it was his email address etc. I did open PayPal seperatly and tried to login. It just says However I am certain that I entered them correctly
You would do well to pick up a phone and call Paypal immediately. Your account seems to have been hacked and the pass might have been changed. Bring it to the notice of the Paypal officials asap! Regards, RightMan
Did you try hitting on Forgot Password? This can help you in getting where exactly you are. Faster way, contact Paypal.
Hard on you but true , The same thing happened to me. You are hacked bro. Either you had a key logger of some sort or some phishing mail and your password is now cracked. Call paypal people right away and hope your money is still there
A keylogger is a hardware device or a software program that records the real time activity of a computer user including the keyboard keys they press.
With so much activity going on in `Paypal', it beats me why are they not implementing a `virtual' keyboard. Makes the user safe against hackers.
phishing alert btw just see the to email once in case if it mispelled then your friend might have send the monney to a mispelled email id
