Hi, I've paid for a VPS from wrzhost and technical support are extremely unhelpful. This should be my admin login page: http://116.50.9.6:2222 But I'm getting a "The server at 116.50.9.6 is taking too long to respond" Error. I've repeatedly emailed support and they say it works fine for them. They said they rebooted it and it still works fine. But I can't even see the login page. I can see the login page on someone elses VPS: http://116.50.9.5:2222 But not my own. Here's what they said: This load isn't me as I haven't installed a website on it!!! What can I do? Get a new host if they're not able to help you www.fluidhosting.com offers great support, I've been with them almost a year now. ps.. the page doesn't load for me either, I think they're feeding you some BS .
Sounds like good advice. It seems someone is overloading the server. They blamed me, but I didn't even upload any files! I'd only go chance to set up some domains. If their amateurish attitude up to now is anything to go by, I've a feeling they're not going to willingly refund me. I took a big risk and went for the cheapest hosting I could find. Big mistake! you get what you pay for and in future I'll pay more and get a professional service.
75$ for vps management is too much. Why don't you go for vps hosting provider offering Free Management service with the VPS.
Well, $75 isn't even reasonable price for a Dedicated Server management. VPS management generally costs $10-$20 depending on your web host. So, you should basically change your web host.
I politely requested a refund two days ago. They haven't responded. Looks like I'm going to have to submit a claim with Paypal
When it comes to managed VPS accounts I'm a huge fan of LiquidWeb personally. I don't believe they offer DirectAdmin at this time though. That aside it's nice to have real 24/7 phone support.
All the vpses on that range work fine. 116.50.9.9:2222 116.50.9.32:2222 You can't just overload a server and blame us for bad support while we say they are unmanaged. A standard server needs tweaking,that's normal,remember it's a vps with a maximum amount of memory and NPROC
Also, 75$ to manage a VPS...bahahahahah $75 can get you a unmanaged Dedicated. $80 can get you a managed dedicated...
Overload the server? I didn't upload a single file!!! You said you'd set one up for me and never did. I have sent repeated emails with no response. Can you please set it up today? I WILL be sure to post a review up here when (if) you do. PS. Please bear in mind it has been a month and you still have not set me a working VPS up. I think your service speaks for itself!
I have sent different emails with the login,I tested the server always when you said you couldn't login,I can't do more. Vpses are very costly for us also and you already received a free month. I don't argue with anybody especially when I know that the server was installed correctly,I can let some vps clients post in here,and they won't say that their server was overloaded all the time Another thing,you said mysql overloaded the server why didn't you stop the process if you don't needed it. A simple restart could solve a problem about a process that got stuck
Thanks for responding. I hope you understand that I too don't want an argument, I simply want a working VPS I couldn't stop the MySQL process as I couldn't log in! Look at my first post, I asked other people to try to log in, they couldn't either. In fact, try now. It still refuses connections! I've no doubt other clients are happy, I can see myself that their login screens pop right up! Mine however, does not. So of course I'm not happy. Please start me a working VPS server and post the link to the login page here, then we can all see what a working one looks like I just want what I paid for, nothing more. for consistency, my email reply... Hi I didn't renew my contract as its not yet started! I asked people on digital point who confirmed the server was actively refusing requests for the login page. I even have an email from your support confirming the server was overloaded. I don't doubt the server worked temporarily, but it certainly did not for me or anyone else (after my first login.) It seems we're going round in circles. It seems its your word against mine and other peoples so if your next email isn't satisfactory then i'm afraid i'll have to contact paypal and post a full documented review on dp. I hate doing this but I paid you my hard-earned money in good faith and it seems you've taken it and stabbed me in the back. Please do the right thing! Regards, hayden

So you call this backstabbing,I tried to help you and give you a way to contact me and talk to me live I stayed on livechat untill 2u00 while I had to go to work at 8u but you didn't show up. It's your word against mine yes and your server was setup in the same way that I do it normally but don't call me a backstabber when I'm only trying to find a solution to help you. When you had ordered the vps again and contacted me on skype or livechat I could have setup your vps immediately and this topic could have been closed. Now do this please: Order the vps,don't pay! Submit a support ticket and mention this topic link. I will setup your vps and send you the details. When you still have problems you can contact me afterwards and I will help you with everything and guide you through the setup even while our vps servers are unmanaged.
Tippie has worked with me tonight to resolve this and a new VPS is in the process of being set up. I'm confident that this was just a misunderstanding and fingers crossed, I'll have a VPS at a very reasonable cost...!
