Cant install Joomla templates! - Help!

    Hi guys, I just used 'fantastico' to install Joomla for one of my sites. Install worked well, but it wont let me install any templates!?

    I keep getting this error:

    ERROR: Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

    Can anyone please help me? I've tried it with sites on both Lunarpages & Hostgator and still get the same error!

    I had same issue with a few - I just chalked it up to templates being incompatible with the version I was using and found another template.

    Joomla! 1.0.15 Stable

    Not upgraded to 1.5 yet. There was about 5 or 6 that did this (One a REALLY liked :()

    Try extracting the template to desktop and repackaging it through winzip then run the template installer again. Sometimes this can fix the problem :p

    Yes,i know why you are facing such issues.
    You are using the best version. Dont upgrade it to 1.5.

    And you are having such problems,because either you are not installing version compatible themes or your directories are not writable..

    So first make sure,you have Joomla 1.x templates only.
    Then check that if your

    templates/

    administrator/templates/

    is writable or not...
