Can't grasp the whole idea a bit of help?

    Ok,
I signed up and was assigned a weight of 279 (base).
What exactly does this mean? Is this any good?

I also noticed everytime I refresh the page (my own website) the links at the bottom change, so how can Google or MSN count this as a relevant linkback if it keeps changing everytime they visit the page?
ADD: Also, how do I know that my ads are being served? Are my ads screened before they're put on websites? Right now all I've done is click enable.

    Thanks!

Ok thanks :) What does the 279 base represent? That I'm probably going to get very few backlinks?

The weight formula recently changed. I have not read enough posts to know how you rank since change. The premise is you get what you give.
