I've been working on a new website recently www.creatinejournal.com, i havent been able to spend alot on building links due to my Paypal being cut off but it should be fixed soon. But i can't get listed anywhere for just 'creatine', if i can get listed for the term, i know how i am doing and progress, but if im not listed just makes life harder.

    Any suggestions please

    Hi Terry,

You have very few links showing to your site, and none in Google. If it's a new site you may be in the sandbox anyway, you just need to focus on building free links if you can't afford to buy any

You are listed for the keyword creatinejournal, just try to optimise your website more for creatine.
And Creatine has 12,200,000 websites indexed, so it makes it harder to score on.

I d recommend building specific pages for each type of creatine info e.g. benefits of creatine, creatine and you etc.
More pages the more you get indexed looks like you already have a better chance than most being listed... the tactic above is what i use and it works

To rank for a term like creatine you need to have a better website than the others that are already listed. Just being as good as the other sites in terms of content and links will not be enough as the others have a headstart on you.

    Did you do keyword research?

You are not likely to rank for a single keyword term for months to a year.

Especially with a blog and only a few links.

You should also look for other related keyword terms to rank for and draw traffic with

    creatine 889.0 /day
    discount creatine 134.0 /day
    creatine discount 128.0 /day
    creatine supplement 118.0 /day
    creatine kinase 109.0 /day
    creatine side effects 108.0 /day
    creatine monohydrate 87.0 /day
    creatine endurance 82.0 /day

As you can see there is other traffic to be had....find better terms and work your way up to the word creatine after time & links

Hi Terry. Please be patient. You have a completely new site and you need to work on its links, content, marketing, optimization etc before you can see any results on Search Engines. A search for the term 'creatine' on Google shows a competition of 9,530,000 (more than 9 million sites) with the first site having a PR 6. Your website is currently PR0.

You have a completely new site and you should get links for it, promote it, improve its PR, submit articles (to get links to your site) and do this regularly to achieve any rankings for your site. And ofcourse not to forget keep adding more content to your site and regularly updating it. SEO requires a lot of patience and hard work.

Also, just to mention that your Paypal has nothing to do with links. You can get free and reciprocal links without paying a penny.

    Best of luck.

You have around 500 links to your blog. That's not few, but for a keyword like creatine you have to wait some months until your blog rank on google (your site is only 1 month old...). Try get 1st page ranking on MSN, it's much easier (especially when you're in the 2nd page). Secondary keywords are much easier, try them.

    On the right track

Time its a trust thing....nothing personal just how Google does business. Sort of like the trusted restaurant in town and the new one that just opened. The food critics do not recommend the new restaurant because it just opened...

Same thing applied here...Google has websites in its index it trusts....and it has your site in its index.....but it doesnt trust you quite yet.

Get high quality links..one way in nature and keyword targeted....

Buying links may hurt you in Googles eyes more than help...that is manipulation of the SERPs in a way.

You earn trust for the lesser competitive keyword terms quicker

one must crawl before walking and walk before running...
